 home but I suppose it all turned out well for her and Ed.  I liked Jake from the first moment I layed eyes on him…..oops…… I mean saw him in the introductions, fresh from the first limo ride.  This Girly Girl sure appreciates a fine young man who is respecful, gentlemanly and a little bit of eye candy!  I am now glad that Jillian didn’t pick him because I ….WE will get to look at him for many more episodes of the Bachelor.

And it  looks like this coming January in Saginaw, Michigan will display temperatures a little warmer than normal.  Talk about melting some snow!!  Al Gore has it all wrong, this global warming is all due to the airing of  The Bachelor during the peak winter months!  But then again, how in the world would he know!  Are all my Girly Girls going to watch with me?

Why are we enamored with Metallics?  Take a walk back in time and see how metallic fabrics were used……mostly to signify royalty!  They were the only ones who could afford them, after all.  That is what makes metallics so popular; you feel like a million bucks in them!!  Once reserved for the higher echelon of society; thanks to textile mills, now many can look glamorous for smaller amounts of money.

SO don’t be shy…go get something metallic and show the world you are not afraid to look beautiful!

I have determined that the time has come to get a new phone.  Although the IPhone looks very interesting, I am now approaching the phone and data merge.  I don’t even have a phone to take pictures with yet!  What I was thinking was that if I got a Blackberry, I could do away with my big planner that I carry everywhere to keep track of my daily activities, take notes and jot reminders.  After examining the Blackberry from Nextel, I am thinking of switching.

With the Girly Girl store start up came the 3D Agency for models also and trying to keep up on all the email, appointments and contacts is time consuming.  Not to mention all the other paperwork that comes from being self employed.  I just figured that a Blackberry would help cut down on some of the tasks and be a lot more portable.  So what do you think ladies?  Should I step forward more into the electronic abyss ?  PLEASE send me your honest feedback, especially you brave women who have walked this unknown before me!!

Back in the spring, my husband and I attended church one morning and there was a guest speaker there who was a prophet.  David and I had been married less than one year so when the guest speaker, Dennis Cramer, asked us to stand up and started speaking to us, I didn’t know what to expect.  I had never had a prophecy spoken over me.  I had heard of this before but had never been to a church that had the faith to invite such incredible guests!  Needless to say, I was truly amazed!

 Dennis started with me and proceeded to tell me about my current job and how successful I was.  Then he explained to me that he saw me doing something else.  He saw me in my own little store, a girly place with frilly things and it would be so girly that men wouldn’t want to come anywhere near it!!  Even though I had never experienced anything like this before, I knew that every word he spoke to me was God-given and I trusted his words.  Besides, everything else he spoke to my husband and I was so accurate that I stood there completely astounded!

From that day forward, his words burned in my brain and ignited that flame that led me to where I am today.  The opportunity to open this store, A Girly Girl truly is a blessing and I am hear to testify that when you trust God and have faith in him, he gives you the desires of his heart.
